Non-reference cooling and HDMI

Our colleagues from Donanimhaber.com have managed to score a picture of Asus' EAH4670 HDMI card, which uses some kind of non-reference cooling. According to the specification list Asus will have two versions of the HD 4670 card, one with 512MB and one with 1GB of GDDR3 memory.

Both cards will work at 750MHz for the core and both will have the same memory clocked at a weird 1,004MHz (2,008MHz). Both cards will also feature an HDMI, VGA D-Sub and DVI connectors on its backplate and both will be cooled by the same non-reference cooler.

The cooler looks rather large for this type of card, as it covers a large portion of the card's PCB. We believe that the card is a dual slot design, but from this angle it is a bit hard to see how thick the card really is. The cooler itself looks good, as it is based on a large heatsink cooled by a large fan which should definitely produce less noise than those little fans.

You can find the picture here. The 512MB version is already listed starting at €77, and you can find the listings here.
