Up to 40% faster than 9500GT

We managed to get our hands on the first picture of Sapphire's upcoming HD 4670 card. We also saw a slide which claims that HD 4670 is up to 40 percent faster than Nvidia's 9500GT card.

The Sapphire HD 4670 works at 750MHz and comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,000MHz, paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. The card is cooled by a rather small fan and heatsink and takes up only one slot. The backplate comes with two DVI connectors and a TV-Out, but the card will be packed with DVI-VGA and DVI-HDMI adapters.

According to the slide, Sapphire's HD 4670 is about 40 percent faster than the Nvidia 9500GT card in both 3DMark Vantage Performance and Extreme. The 3DMark results are always good to see but real gaming performance is what really counts.

Here is the picture of the card.
