Multi-Core cooling

Yesterday we wrote about Gigabyte's passive HD 4850 card that comes with 1024MB of GDDR3 memory, and today Gigabyte was kind enough to show a picture of this card.

The card is cooled by Gigabyte's dual slot passive cooling that uses the Multi-Core cooling technology which has two aluminum heatsinks. According to the picture, these two heatsinks should be connected by four heatpipes.

The card is left at reference clock speeds of 625MHz for the core and 1,986MHz for memory, as passive cooling doesn't usually give a lot of overclocking potential.

The card has DirectX 10.1, UVD 2, PCI-Express 2.0 supports and is capable of doing ATI's CrossfireX. We already wrote about the listing and its price so you can check out the link located under the picture.
