With 1GB of memory

Gecube has announced its newest addition to the HD 4800 series of graphics cards, the HD 4850 1.0GB Overclocking series. The card comes with a factory overclocked core and features 1GB of GDDR3 memory.

According to the press release, this card was released following the great success of Gecube's HD4850 cooled by a Zalman fan that was released back in July. As mentioned, the new card comes with a factory overclocked core that works at 650MHz and features 1GB of GDDR3 memory which is paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.

Unfortunately, as it happened with the rest of the AIB partners, due to a higher amount of memory, it works at reference 993MHz clock (1,886MHz). The 1GB of memory might have additional overclocking potential, but that's something that has to be seen in reviews.

The card is cooled by a dual slot cooler which uses a ceramic bearing fan, so at least it should be a bit quieter than the rest of the batch. These card should appear sometimes during September, but the price still remains a mystery.
