Hurricane and Twin Turbo

Inno3D has announced two differently cooled 9800GT cards, the iChill 9800GT Hurricane and the i-Chill 9800GT Twin Turbo.

The announced cards work at 700MHz for the core and come with 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2,000MHz. Both cards have 112 Stream processors with a shader clock set at 1,500MHz. The first one, iChill 9800GT Hurricane is cooled by Zerotherm's four heatpipe Hurricane cooler, while the second one, i-Chill 9800GT Twin Turbo, will be cooled by Arctic Cooling's dual fan, four heatpipe, Accelero Twin Turbo cooler.

The temperature difference is great for both of these versions, at least when they are compared to the reference cooling. Both the Accelero and the Hurricane have an idle temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, and the Accelero has an advantage over Hurricane by two degrees Celsius under the full load, 54 to 56. The reference cooling works at 81 degrees Celsius under load and 52 in idle mode.

As a part of Inno3D's i-Chill series, both of these cards come with three years of warranty, top A1 components, full game bundle, OS-con capacitors and gold plated connectors; which is great deal if you are looking for the best of the bunch.

This is how these two cards look.
