Works at 660MHz

According to our sources, MSI is going to launch an overclocked version of the 9800GT card, the NX9800GT-T2D512-OC. The new card will be using a non-reference cooling and will be overclocked to 660MHz for the GPU.

MSI's OCed 9800GT version will use the MSI unique heat pipe cooling that comes with four 6mm heatpipes. According to our info the use of 6mm heatpipes and the metal hood that covers most of the cooler, makes this card 20 percent cooler than those with reference cooling.

The new card is overclocked from 600MHz to 660MHz for the GPU and the card comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory overclocked from the reference 1,800MHz to 1,900MHz. As you may already know, the 9800GT comes with 112 Stream processors, and the shader clock on MSI's 9800GT OC card is overclocked from the reference 1,500MHz to 1,625MHz.

The new 9800GT OC will be bundled with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 game, and will support Nvidia's PhysX, CUDA, SLI and Hybrid Power.
