Albatron has launched a sweet mini-ITX board based on AMD's 780G integrated chipset.
Dubbed KI780G, the board features loads of connectors, including HDMI, eSATA, DVI, 6 USBs, SPDIF in as well as 7.1 audio connectors. Aside from packing one of the best IGPs on the market, the board also has an x16 PCIe slot (4 lane), and two SO-DIMM slots should be enough for anyone. CPUs with TDP up to 65W are supported, and considering you can pick from dozens of E-series Athlons and Phenoms this is not much of a limitation.
Coupled with one of AMDs upcoming 15W or 22W CPUs, this board could provide a very tempting alternative to VIA and Intel Atom mini-ITX boards on the market.
Currently, only MSI is selling a mini-ITX AMD board in Europe, and it's based on the old 690G chipset. It is priced at €138 and we can only hope the new baby Albatron will end up cheaper.
