In its haste to show off a few good looking products pinned with the
Red Dot Design Award, Asus inadvertently posted a couple of images of a
brand new netbook, the EeePC 1218.
Design wise, the EeePC is very reminiscent of Asus' UL30 CULV notebook
introduced last year. However, although it sports the same look and
aluminium finish, the EeePC 1218 has a completely different layout,
with all connectors arranged at the rear of the chassis.
Sadly there's still no word on the specs, but we're probably looking at
the usual dose of Atom, 2GB of memory and 250GB of storage. However, it
would be a shame if it didn't get ION or a new Atom with DDR3 support.
