According to IBtimes, Google has already contacted several notebook
makers and sent out requests for proposals for an ARM based smartbook.
The dark satanic rumour mill reports the smartbook will be based around
Nvidia's Tegra series processor and it will feature a 10.1-inch
multitouch screen, a 64GB SSD and 2GB of memory. WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G
and Ethernet are in the package as well.
The device is expected to feature a comprehensive Google software suit
and it will supposedly be heavily subsidized by Google, who plans to
sell it directly or bundled with a telco data plan.
Mind you, all this sounds a bit too optimistic even for Google, so we are a bit skeptical.
