Shuttle has announced the availability of two new models based on the Intel G31 chipset, the SG31G2 for the office and the SG31G5 for home. The only real difference between the two models is the chassis.

Both models uses the Intel G31 chipset which is paired with the old ICH7 and both models supports bus speeds of up to 1,066MHz. Older Pentium 4 and Pentium D processors don’t appear to be supported.

The board used supports up to 4GB of memory up to 800MHz, but Shuttle offers an overclocking option all the way up to 1,066MHz. The G31 chipset provides integrated graphics and Shuttle has fitted D-Sub and DVI connectors.

You’ll also found four rear mounted USB ports, two front mounted USB ports, one rear and one front mounted FireWire port, Gigabit Ethernet, two PS/2 ports, 7.1-channel audio. There’s also a x16 PCI Express slot and a PCI slot for expansion as well as three SATA connectors.

The SG31G2 should retail for
€227 and the SG31G5 for €252, without sales tax and both models should be available in September.
