Cebit 2009: The top-notch notebook

Asus has showcased its Lamborghini car as well as its Lamborghini VX5 notebook. Since we are sure that the car is Asus' just for the show, he notebook stole some of our attention.

The new Asus Lamborghini VX5 nootebook is based on Intel´s PM45+ICH9m chipset, Intel´s Core 2 Quad CPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, full HD 16-inch screen, Nvidia´s Geforce GT 130M with 1GB of GDDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space and all of this under Windows Vista Ultimate.

The design looks great and the keyboard automatically lights up in dark conditions, which is a nice touch. The new VX5 notebook will also feature some sort of overclocking capabilities with, what Asus calls, twinturbo mode with speed key. The leather wrist rest is also a nice touch but we wouldn´t expect nothing less from Asus´ Lamborghini series.

The new Asus VX5 will be available in either black or white color, it measures 394 x 274 x 48mm and weighs 3.3kg with a 6-cell battery. This is of course a high end notebook which has a Lamborghini sign on it so the price will probably go around €2500-3000 depending on the configuration.
