Computex 08: iF goes to Taiwan

This year, for the first time, the Computex Taipei design and innovation awards were given out and this was done in cooperation with iF from Germany. iF gives away a wide range of design awards during CeBIT, but now the time has come for Computex to get its own version. Ralph Wiegmann, the Managing Director of iF was location to present the awards.

The gold winners included the VIA Cloudbook (although it seems that someone got the name mixed up with the note OpenBook), the DinoXLite digital microsope from AnMo Electronics, the UF735 digital photo frame from Asus and the Swing Duo USB flash drive from Starline International.

Other award winners included the VIA OpenBook, the Asus Ares CG6155 gaming PC, Twist a Cable from Sonnenchein, three different GPS devices from Mio, of which two also have functions and mobile phones, Acer's new Gemstone Blue notebook, Patriot's Viper memory modules and Cooler Master's V8 CPU cooler, to mention a few.

You can find a full list of the award winning products here, although it looks like some of the products name have again been jumbled up.

Here are a few pictures of some of the winners.
