Computex 08: File Management without a PC

Today, D-Link announced a free upgrade for their network attached storage (NAS), in order to enable users to use BitTorrent without even needing a PC. D-LinkR DNS-323 Network Storage Enclosure now features the latest BitTorrent Software Development Kit, and this storage device basically acts like a media-hub for BitTorrent-enabled content.

BitTorrent Device Partners technology licensing and certification program has licensed the D-Link DNS-323 and certified D-Link’s Xtreme NT 802.11n Wi-Fi router (DIR-655).

A.J. Wang, D-Link’s Chief Technical Officer said: "We recognize the benefits BitTorrent technology brings to its global user base and are pleased to be able to add that functionality to our products. By integrating the latest BitTorrent SDK into our NAS devices and ensuring our routers are BitTorrent-certified, we provide our customers with the most highly optimized BitTorrent implementation for connected devices and an efficient way to control and access their NAS device via an intuitive Web interface."
