CES 2008:  AMD LIVE! Explorer Beta breaks new ground

AMD announced the beta release of a new immersive interactive front-end technology as a part of AMD LIVE! Called the “AMD LIVE! Explorer”. The AMD LIVE! Explorer has a very easy to use manager that allows you to get the most from your digital media by allowing you to manage and access your vast library of digital music, movies, and videos with an easy to navigate 3D interface.

The initial Beta release will be seeking feedback on this new technology that has stretched across all divisions of AMD to deliver an experience that is very unique and easy to use. AMD LIVE! Explorer could be the sliver bullet that AMD needs to take the access and management of digital media technologies to the next level.

Currently, AMD LIVE! Explorer is only for use with Windows Vista and it is a small download checking in at a little over 6MB. We were impressed with what we saw of AMD LIVE! Explorer, and while some of it defies description, we encourage you to have a look at the link below and download the demo if you are running Vista and give it a try. An AMD processor is required to use AMD LIVE! Explorer, so those running Intel need not apply.

Visit the AMD LIVE! Explorer Wweb site and download the Beta by clicking here.
