Facebook users are internet addicts
Will do anything for a snort of bandwidth
According to Nielsen Online, Facebook users spend 3.26 times more time online than non-Facebook users.
The survey found that Aussies with Facebook accounts were online an average of 25.8 hours a week, while regular users spent just 7.91 hours online. Nielsen researchers concluded that Facebook users interact with the internet in a different way and that they are relying on it more heavily than other users.
Nielsen director of Analytics Mark Higginson concluded that Facebook users view the internet as a media for entertainment, while non-Facebook users just view the net as a tool for increased productivity.
So, Facebook is a lot like heroin, only it doesn't fund the Taliban war effort and it doesn't make you feel nearly as good.
