CULVs, Atoms and Neos

In addition to the next-gen ION system that we saw at CeBIT, it looks like Zotac will extend its ZBox to additional platforms as well that will include CULV, new and old Atom CPUs as well as the AMD based platform as well.

According to the guys over at Blogeee.net, Zotac's ZBox will be available in quite a few different configurations including Intel Pentium SU4100 paired up with Nvidia ION, Intel Atom 330 with Nvidia ION and last but not least, ZBox based on 1.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 Neo L325 with integrated Radeon HD 3200 graphics.

There is also the Pinetrail/next-gen ION which we wrote about here. As we already wrote back then, all systems will be shipped as a barebone, so they will come without OS, memory and HDD.

Although Blogeee.net wrote about the colour coding of the new ZBox systems, we already heard that orange will be for old ION, blue for next-gen ION systems and last but not least, green will be for AMD based systems. The red and grey haven't been mentioned to us so we guess that we might see some more systems in the future.

The price will range from US $217 for the Atom 330/ION system, US $242 for the AMD Athlon X2 Neo L325 system, US $255 for the Pinetrail/next-gen ION system and US $300 for the CULV one. Although Blogeee.net published these prices, during CeBIT we heard that Pinetrail/next-gen ION system should sell for as low as US $210, but we guess that we'll have to wait until these appear in retail.
