Sony will release the 1.35 update to PlayStation Home today that will feature an all new navigation interface based on the PlayStation 3’s own cross media bar interface technology. The goal of the new interface is to improve navigation within PlayStation Home.

Those that have already seen the new interface claim that it makes PlayStation Home much easier to navigate and find what you are looking for. The actual Interface is so much like the cross media bar interface that users already have been using on the PlayStation 3 that it is almost self-explanatory. Some who have seen the new interface report that it is less cluttered and far more logical to use than the previous interface.

PlayStation Home is expected to be down for some time while Sony’s PlayStation Home team gets the upgrade in place and gets ready to start pushing the client update out. Sony isn’t saying how long the outage will last while they prepare the upgrade, but we doubt that it will be longer than a few hours, and it could go even more quickly according to our sources.
