One for Intel, one for AMD

Scythe
has announced two new coolers based on its original Katana 3 design that we had a chance to see during the Cebit show, the Katana 3 Type A and Type I.

Both of these coolers have the same 94x108x143mm dimensions, weigh 495g and feature Scythe's S.P.S. (Slant Pipe Structure) design and feature six heatpipes combined with a nickel-plated copper base and angled heatsink design cooled by 92mm fan. The fan spins from 300 to 2,500RPM depending on you needs.

The only difference between these two models is the socket support, as the Type A can be mounted on AMD 754, 939, 940, AM2(+) and AM3 sockets, while the Type I, as you probably already guessed, has mounting mechanism for Intel's LGA 775, 1156 and 1366 sockets.

Both versions should already be available with a price tag of US $28/€14.75, which is a nice price for an entry-level cooler.
