Another Windows powered box for the home

Microsoft's Windows Home Server is starting to take off, be it good or bad, but with companies such as HP and now Fujitsu-Siemens  backing the platform, it's really starting to take off.

The Scaleo Home Server looks very different to the pretty plain looking tower that HP announced some time ago. Sure, this is a smaller device and it only has two 500GB SATA drives in it, but this should be plenty for most home users.

It will also feature Gigabit Ethernet and it won't draw more than 50 Watts of power, which is a welcome feature in todays power concious world.

The first showing of hte new Scaleo Home Server will be at IFA in August and the only downside is that it's expected to retail for between €500-700, which seems quite expensive for what it is.
