Those looking for an HTPC that can do much more than just play all your movies might want to turn their head towards this quite interesting Lenovo Q700 HTPC system. This one has nothing to do with Intel's Atom, and packs a decent punch under its small hood.

The specs include a Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor working at 2.5GHz, 4GB of memory and Intel's GMA X4500 IGP. The only difference between two currently available models is the hard drive and the fact that the more expensive one does have a LAN. The expensive one has a 640GB hard drive while the cheaper one comes "only" with 320GB of hard drive space.

The back panel tightly packed with an HDMI and DSub outputs, AV and TV in ports, four USB ports, single eSATA, LAN, and audio outputs. The front of the Q700 also comes with four USB ports, card reader, mic and headphones jacks and a DVD burner.

This little cutie will definitely stand proud next to any TV and the design looks quite nice, at least on pictures. The 640GB version with LAN, or in short, the more expensive one, starts at US $549.99 with a one year parts and labor warranty. The cheaper one sells for US $499.00.
