Customers still complaining of delays and mis-information

As we have told you previously, Sprint seems to have had a lot of problems getting new phones launched, and the recent BlackBerry Tour was no exception. After a variety of stumbles by the boys and girls in yellow, it seems that the entire truth is starting to come out.

It would seem that the initial order that Sprint placed with RIM for the BlackBerry Tour Sprint edition was just not enough to satisfy the demand. Our sources have not been able to clarify whether the issue was a small initial order from Sprint or if RIM was not able to produce enough Tour units to satisfy the initial Sprint order. We do hear whispers that seem to indicate that Sprint simply did not place a large enough order for the Tour with RIM quickly enough when they saw that demand was going to be as high as it was.

The good news is that more shipments are expected to start arriving later this week and Sprint is hopeful that supply will catch up with demand within the next two weeks. Sprint continues to say that due to some sort of a glitch it was listed in stock while no inventory was actually available.
