Cayman hard drive maker Seagate has launched several new enterprise-class Cheetah drives, in capacities up to 600GB.

The new 15K7 generation will ship in 300GB, 450GB and 600GB capacities. Running at 15,000RPM, and equipped with 16MB of DRAM cache, 4Gbps Fiber Channel or 6Gbps SAS 2.0 interfaces, you should expect stellar performance.

The new drives have a MTBF of 1.6 million hours, and they're backed by a five-year warranty. There's still no word on pricing or availability dates.

Update:
According to Seagate, the new Cheetahs have been shipping since July 13, and distributors will probably have them in stock soon.
