Hackers have released spamming mails that lure users to
malicious Web sites promising them iPhones.
According to security company Secure Computing one Web
site set up was set up exploit more than 10 ActiveX vulnerabilities in an
attempt to install a rootkit.
The trick is to get people to visit a site offering
discounted iPhones or, better yet, to buy an iPhone. If the visitors have not
upgraded their Windows software the site will run through a series of tests to
see which will be the best method to turn the visitor's computers into a
botnet.
