According to Reuters, Russian regulators are looking into Microsoft's decision to limit supplies of Windows XP while there's still demand, thus forcing consumers to opt for Vista.

Microsoft has already stopped selling XP for use in most PCs, apart from netbooks, a few niche products and low cost systems in some emerging markets. The company claims it has not yet been informed about pending inquiry by Russian authorities.

Microsoft says it will cooperate with any possible inquiry and that it's commited to compliance with Russian law.
