Top Microsofty defects to Apple
Undergoes smug bypass
After 15 years at Redmond Richard Teversham, head of video game strategy for Microsoft in Europe, has defected to Apple. Apparently this is not a move to get some games onto any Apple gear, the fruit themed toy seller does not play games that is only for those who use Microsoft.
Officially Teversham is doing something with “education” at Apple. This is a bit odd because he was the senior director of business, insights, and strategy for Xbox. He was also important in building out the Microsoft Xbox and Xbox Online video game brands in Europe.
It is a pity that Apple did not say what this “education role” entailed, but then that would probably involve telling its users useful information which the Cupertino outfit never wants to do.
