Still looks like a brick

We're not sure if it's possible to come up with a more mundane looking design than what ASRock did for its NetTop ION 330, but it's what's on the inside that really counts and it looks like ASRock will be delivering.

The internal workings aren't a big surprise, as the NetTop ION 330 does of course feature Nvidia's ION chipset and an Intel Atom 330 processor. There's also 2GB of RAM, with an option to upgrade to 4GB, a 320GB 2.5-inch SATA hard drive and a slim-line SATA super-multi DVD drive.

Around the back you'll find an HDMI connector, a D-sub connector, six USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, three 3.5mm audio jacks, an optical S/PDIF and a power connector for an external power brick. There doesn't seem to be any front or side mounted USB ports which is a shame.

The system measures 195x186x70mm (WxDxH) and weighs in at 1.69kg without the 65W power brick. There's also a small rear mounted fan that should help keep the system cool and ASRock are claiming a system noise level of below 30dBA. So far there's no word on pricing or a release date, but we'll make sure to look out for the NetTop ION 330 at Computex early next month.
