James Bond, the Blighty government has decided that Google is a better weapon against terrorists.

The Home Office's Office for Security and Counter Terrorism plans to work with "approved" Islamic Web sites to "flood the Internet" with pro-Western propaganda. The pro-Western sites will get special training in search-engine optimisation, so that their sites are near the top of Google, Yahoo and Microsoft LiveSearch results pages.

The big idea is that if any young British Muslims type in the word "jihad," they will get more wholesome sites rather than Al Qaeda mouthpieces.

As it is if you type the word "jihad" into Google you only get two radical Islamic links out of the first 10 returned. If the British government win, it could knock those out too.
