10-liter case and a $399 pricetag
Acer has launched its newest business class desktop named the Veriton X270. The new Veriton X270 is packed in a 10-liter case which could be practical in an office, but considering the looks of rest of the Veriton line we doubt that this one will be elegant. The platform is based on Nvidia's 630i motherboard and a wide choice of Intel's CPUs.
As mentioned, the platform is based on Nvidia nForce 630i chipset with Geforce 7100 integrated graphics and offers wide choice Intel CPUs, up to a Core 2 Duo, as we guess that quad is just way too much for this small case. Other specifications include up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, one PCI-Express x16, one PCI-Express x1 and two PCI slots, all low profile, SATA hard drive with up to 500GB of space, SuperMulti optical drive, 5.1-channel integrated audio, Gigabit LAN and that's about that.
The Veriton X270 system comes with Windows Vista Business and has a one year limited warranty. It is available in North America via Acer's resellers and its price tag starts at US $399.
