Lib Dem in Nazi uniform

Porthcawl councilor Sean Aspey is in hot water over images of his 40th birthday bash which were posted on Facebook.

Aspey, who describes himself as a “extreme right wing Liberal Democrat”, thought it would be a good idea to wear a Nazi uniform on a Allo Allo themed fancy dress party. Later it emerged that he also joined a couple of Facebook groups which glorify serial killers.

“I have rather a great sense of humour," said Aspey, “I tend to see things in a funny light.”

His constituents don't seem to share his unique sense of humor, as he was accused of bringing Porthcawl Town Council into disrepute, and called on to resign. Labour councillor John Bunker and Conservative councillor David Deere claim they were appalled by Aspeys antics, and they both asked for his resignation.

Aspey is still defiant, and claims he and his friends were "just having a laugh," and that the fancy dress party, themed after a popular 80's comedy show was not meant to offend anyone.
