Potentially offensive?

Apple is refusing to stock an iPhone application developed by the makers of South Park on iTunes. The app would enable users to watch South Park on their phones, and access other show related content, but Apple rejected it on the grounds that it could be "potentially offensive".

We understand the Apple religion's concern about potential exposure of its flock to sinful rants and mischief of Parker's and Stone's deviant characters, but some things just don't add up.  iTunes already has 12 seasons of offensive South Park episodes in its offer and the store even features the filth ridden South Park movie.

Perhaps Apple is simply trying to get some free marketing, as we don't doubt for a second it will probably feature prominently in upcoming South Park episodes thanks to this issue.
