Look for the smug card player

Las Vegas
casino operators are banning iPhones from the card tables after smug owners had been caught using illegal card counting software.

Nevada State gaming control officials have sent warnings to casinos about card-counting software that turns iPhone smart mobile telephones or iPod Touch MP3 players into illegal tools for winning at blackjack .

When the program is used in the 'Stealth Mode' the phone looks like it is switched off. Players using the program simply tap a virtual button on the screen each time a card 10 or higher is turned up and tap a different button for lower-value cards.

The application was first seen in the American-Indian casinos in North California.

We hope that the users were scalped. Not because they were cheating, but because they were smug gits who think they are geeks because they use an Apple blessed bit of kit.
