Makes Bluetooth email sync Express Card

Two of the giants in the business computing and email, Lenovo and RIM, have joined forces to create a product called the Lenovo Constant Connect which is an interesting take on email syncing which should appeal to a wide range of business users.

The device itself is an Express Card 54 which features built in Bluetooth and 500MB of internal storage memory. This might not sound very impressive, but it's what it can do that is going to change the way people sync their emails.

Normally to sync your emails between your Blackberry and your PC you need to run some kind of sync application and this requires you to have your notebook switched on. However, the Constant Connect can still sync your emails from your Blackberry to your notebook even if its switched off and it doesn't require any software to do so. The Constant Connect should give you access to all your emails that have been synced from your Blackberry within eight seconds of booting up your notebook.

This all sounds fantastic, but with no pricing details it's anyone's guess how expensive this will be. The Constant Connected is slated for a Q2 2009 launch in the US and it works with Exchange, Outlook, POP and Gmail with Lotus Notes support coming sometime in the second half of this year.
