Taking over the company an employee at a time

Microsoft has poached another top executive from Yahoo, making it look as if the outfit is trying to take over the company one employee at a time.

This time Larry Heck, a Yahoo vice president has cleaned out his desk at the search outfit and joined Redmond's R&D group. Microsoft has been collecting Yahoo staff after failing to buy the company last year. The biggest scalp belonged to Qi Lu, who now runs Microsoft's online unit. Other high-profile hires include Suchter and Scott Moore.

Heck is a controversial figure as after he moved to Yahoo from Nuance he poached a dozen workers from Nuance so it will be interesting to see if he takes them to Redmond with him.
