All-in-one PC that consumes 35W

After the preview at CES 2009, MSI has officially announced its all-in-one PC, the NetOn AP1900. The NetOn AP1900 targets to replace the traditional desktop PC for office use and is equipped with Intel's Atom CPU.

The new NetOn AP1900 is actually an 18.5-inch LCD screen packed with an 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of memory, integrated graphics and a 160GB hard drive. Other features include integrated 7.1 HD audio, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, Super-Multi DVD drive, two integrated 3W speakers, 1.3M webcam and a 4-in-1 card reader.

The display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is only 35mm thick. It really looks good from the design side, and it even comes bundled with a keyboard and mouse. According to the press release, the new AP1900 has a power consumption of 35 Watt's under full load and the noise levels are kept at impressive 26dBA.

Compared to the 15.6-inch Asus EeeTop ET1602, the new MSI boasts a more spacious screen and has an optical drive. The Asus has a touchscreen, but we're not sure a touchscreen makes much sense on such a machine anyway, and MSI ends up €50 cheaper.

The NetOn AP1900 should start selling sometimes later this month. It is already listed in Europe and the lowest price stands at €484,03.
