Gizmodo has found two snaps of what it claims are the
new HTC Sapphire / T-Mobile G2, or Google phone.
The G2 is a follow-up to the
company's G1 Android-powered smartphone, but it lacks the slide-out QWERTY
keyboard of its predecessor, relying instead on its touchscreen display for
input.
Gizmodo said that the upgrade is fairly obvious however there are some
noticeable differences. Based on the pictures, the thinner G2 will come in a
pearly white case. It will keep its 3.2 megapixel camera and odd angled chin of
the G1.
We are expecting the G2 to be unveiled at the 2009 Mobile World
Congress in Barcelona next month.
