Overpriced and purpleicious

In case
you think the Asus S101 isn't feminine enough for you, HP has launched the Mini 1099EG Vivianne Tam edition netbook.

Unlike the €380 Mini 701EG we talked about here, the Mini 1099EG Vivianne Tam costs a whopping €599, but most retailers are listing it at €650. We like the looks of HP's plain Mini, but the Vivianne Tam looks like something straight out of the Miami Vice set.

Of course, it's powered by Intel's Atom N270 and 945 chipset, and has 60GB of storage like the 701EG, so the paintjob and branding will cost you anywhere from €220 to €270. Ouch. Sources claim Chuck Norris has already ordered one, to go with the mangled intestines of his victims.

You can find the listing here and retailers expect to have it in stock in mid-January.
