Not an Eee PC, or?

Asus' next Atom venture has been pictured and it goes under the name of the S121, although from our understanding after our last chat with Asus, the S121 won't be carrying the Eee PC branding, since it's got a 12.1-inch display which makes it too big to be an Eee PC.

The S121 builds on the S101 and there are many similarities between the two, at least judging by the pictures posted by Eee PC News. There aren't a lot of details in terms of the hardware specifications for this new Asus netbook/sub-notebook, but judging by the pictures, we can't imagine that it'll have a lot of hardware changes compared to the S101.

The good news is that as promised, Asus has re-worked the keyboard compared to the S101 and the S121 now has the shift key on the right side of the arrow keys. The larger display should also bring with it a higher resolution and we'd expect to see a 1,280x768 panel on the S121.

For the rest of the specifications we're just going to have to wait until Asus unveils more details, which we kind of expect to happen during CES which kicks off in less than two weeks time.
