Blizzard has announced that the number of WoW subscribers has reached 11.5 million.

If Azeroth were an actual county, it would be the 74th most populous nation on the planet, bigger than Cuba, Greece or Portugal.

The number of subscribers has grown steadily since WoW was launched, and the release of the Lich King expansion has further boosted the numbers.

Blizzard is currently hiring more people to cope with the influx of new subscribers.
