by on02 November 2016

On the rise

The European Semiconductor Industry Association (ESIA) issued its sales figures for semiconductors in September, and they’re clearly on the up and up

The figures show a rise of 2.7 percent and amounted to $8.165 billion during the month.

Worldwide semi sales accounted for $29.435 billion in September, up 4.2 percent compared to August 2016 and up 3.6 percent compared to Autumn 2015.

All product categories rose in September but strong performances were shown for logic, MOS microcomponents, and application specific devices.

Semiconductor devices are doing particularly well in automotive infotainment, wireless communication and consumer applications.
