Former McAfee employ arrested
Security company insecure
A Californian woman and her husband have been arrested on suspicion of misappropriating millions of dollars from security outfit McAfee.
Coppers from Santa Clara said 35-year-old Susan Despinic of Los Gatos and her husband, 37-year-old Aurawm Almaneih, were arrested Wednesday on grand theft charges.
Despinic, who worked as a product marketing manager for McAfee, managed to shift more than $3.8 million in business from the company to vendors in which she had a financial interest, coppers said.
One of the outfits was a dummy company set up by the couple for their own benefit. It is a pity that McAfee does not know of a good security company to prevent this sort of thing happening.
