I expect you to poke Mr. Bond

Britain's overseas
security service, MI6, is using Facebook to help recruit new agents.

The move is part of an open recruitment campaign which continues to target wide pools of talent representative of British society.  Apparently, people who waste their time on Facebook make excellent agents for Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Next, they will be interviewing people who stroke white cats.

It is not as if James Bond is suddenly going to add you to his friends list. MI6 launched Facebook job advertisements a few weeks ago to try and reach a larger variety of people.

The intelligence service began using radio and newspapers for recruitment more than two years ago. Would-be Bonds can apply on the MI6 Websites.
