Super Talent has announced its third generation of solid state drives. These new 2.5-inch SSDs will be a part of Super Talent's new MasterDrive OX and PX series and will feature a SATA 3.0 interface, access times of 0.1ms, ECC, integrated wear leveling and bad bit management algorithms.

The announced MasterDrive OX series will be using MLC NAND Flash chips with transfer data speeds of up to 150MB/s and 100MB/s for sequential read and write. It will be available in 32, 64 and 128GB capacities and will be backed up with a 1-year warranty.

The MasterDrive PX, on the other hand, uses SLC NAND Flash chips which should ensure that these drives not only have the best reliability and endurance, but also high read and write speeds of up to 170MB/s and 130MB/s. This series will be available in 32 and 64GB capacities and will come with a 3-year warranty.

The 128GB MasterDrive OX should be available this week with a suggested price tag of around US $419.
