We are amused

Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will be popping over the road for a quick cuppa with the U.K. headquarters of U.S. Internet search giant Google.

Accompanied by the Duke, "this wiring looks like it has been done by an Indian" of Edinburgh, the 82-year-old will be introduced to the team that created The Royal Channel on Google-owned YouTube earlier this year. Her Majesty wanted a word with the Google team because she wants ideas for an anticipated revamp of the official Buckingham Palace Website that will add more video content and improve navigation.

It is not clear if Google founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, would be present for the Queen's visit. Google was very pleased with the popularity of The Royal Channel and the visit is a great way to celebrate that. Google has chucked a lot of money at the U.K. and has its mobile engineering center in London.

The Queen is not a technical slouch.  She started using a computer in 2006 and regularly emails her grandchildren. One also has an iPod.
