Custom painted Slice

Smoothcreations, which is known for their high quality custom painted PC systems, has revealed its vision of the netbook system, the Slice. The new Smoothcreations Slice netbooks will be, of course, available with a custom paintjob.

The new Slice is powered by Intel's Atom and features an 8.9-inch 1024x600 LCD. Other specs include 1.5GB of Gskill branded DDR2 memory and a 100GB hard drive. The main selling point will be the high quality paint job, as Smoothcreations uses high-grade automotive finishes, clear coats and special poly carbonate finishes.

We honestly doubt that a lot of people will go for the "Hello Kitty" orange design, but we are sure that there will be plenty of other designs to choose from. According to the press release the price should be similar to other Atom netbooks.
