Nothing for Internet Explorer this time around

Microsoft announced that it will be releasing four critical patches that will address 8 flaws this month. Windows GDI+, Windows Media Player, Windows Media Encoder, and OneNote are to be targets for the patches this month.

Microsoft also released news that they will start providing a security bulletin with an Exploitability index to help system administrators better plan the roll out of patches to their user community. This will start in October.

Internet Explorer will not receive a cumulative patch this time around. No one really is sure why Microsoft is not patching IE at this time.
