Acer Aspire Revo One dazzles with minimal design

by on02 February 2015

Possibly the best looking mini PC out there

Acer’s new Aspire Revo One series of mini PCs comes in a futuristic white chassis, but does not sacrifice functionality for the sake of design.

It does not just stand out in the design department. The Revo One is available with the latest Intel silicon, in the form of Core i5-5200U and Core i3-5010U processors. There is also a SKU based on the “old” Core i3-4005U.

So far we’ve managed to find a total of five different SKUs. The entry level Core i3-4005U model comes with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. It is priced at €449.

You can get the Core i3-5010U in two flavours, with a 500GB HDD or a 128GB SSD. The Core i5-5200U is available with a 1TB SSHD, or a 1TB SSHD backed by a 2TB HDD, priced at €599 and €699 respectively. This suggests that the chubby chassis can accommodate two 2.5-inch drives, which is a nice touch.

All SKUs come with 4GB of RAM, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, a couple of USB 3.0 ports, 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth 4.0. Acer also includes a keyboard and mouse, just in case you have trouble finding something stylish to match the Revo One.

The Revo One doesn’t come cheap, but it does offer the latest Intel tech in a small and stylish package, capable of accommodating two proper hard drives, or an SSD-HDD combo.
