Still not clear what/who it's for

We first saw the Albatron Tee PC during Computex back in June, but then it was called the Rocker, although this über mini-tablet PC, as Albatron calls it, doesn't seem to have a clear space in the market, as it doesn't seem to really fit in to any defined market space.

Looking at the specs, the Tee PC is quite small at 188x113x13mm (WxHxD) and it weighs in at 343g, about twice that of larger Windows Mobile devices. Considering that it has a 7-inch touch screen display, it's not hard to see where the extra weight comes from, but the hardware specifications are actually not that far off from many Windows Mobile devices.

The screen resolution is better at 800x480, at least for the time being, but the 400MHz ARM926 processor isn't exactly screaming of performance platform. The Tee PC also has 128MB of DDR RAM in an SO-DIMM and this might be expandable, although the press release doesn't suggest either or. The biggest downside would be the tiny 128MB of storage memory, but a side mounted SD card slot can be used for expanding the storage and we can only guess this has been done to keep the cost down.

Other features include 802.11b/g WiFi and unspecified Bluetooth support, the ability to play back H.264 video at 30fps, a built-in camera with either 0.3 or 1.3Megapixel resolution and a docking cradle. The cradle houses a pair of stereo speakers, two USB 2.0 ports, a line in and out jack and a power connector. The USB ports can be used for connecting a keyboard and a mouse, as well as USB storage devices. The Tee PC is running a customized version of Windows CE 6.0 and it's the first time in a very long time we've seen this OS without a custom UI on a consumer device.

No pricing was announced, and it seems like this will be the key to the Tee PCs success, as if it gets too expensive, we have a feeling people won't be interested in it. It looks like it could be a cool PMP, but we're not sure how much of a PC it is and besides, it's not exactly pocket friendly, despite being a fairly small device.
