Uber gets bad report card

Better business bureau wades into service

Electronic taxi outfit Uber, which is in the process of being hounded out of the EU, has been pasted by the US Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau awarded Uber its lowest rating -- "F" and the problems seem to be its surge pricing issues.

Uber has been hit with an "F" rating by the Better Business Bureau of Northern Coastal California and the San Francisco Bay Area. What Uber does is have its rates spike during peak demand, causing rides to be more expensive. As a result riders to get needlessly irate and moan like crazy.

Batches of emails about the low rating were sent to reporters from the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association. They might have liked to keep that a little quiet, even if they hate Uber. The Yellow Cab Cooperative in San Francisco also has an "F" rating due to complaints.
