Not so secure after all

After years
thinking they were safe because no one actually used their toy operating system, Apple users are starting to find themselves victims of hackers and spyware.

Security experts are warning that now that iPhone and Mac popularity has grown, hackers are starting to look at ways to take down the operating system. Security vulnerability analyst Cameron Hotchkies warned that hackers were taking increasing aim at iPhones and Macintosh computers.

He said that there were a lot more people getting into hacking Apple software and really getting their hands dirty with a lot of reverse engineering on the Apple platform. What has been making it easier is that Apple has made its platform more Windows-friendly, which means that Windows developers take their code and make it work on Apple.

But they could take potential vulnerabilities with them or possibly create new ones because they are working on an entirely different platform.
