Firmware update for Xbox One in March

by on31 January 2014

Will include a number of promised fixes

Finally, word has started to circulate that Microsoft will be pushing out the promised firmware update for the Xbox One sometime in March. According to a number of folks at Microsoft, this update will address a variety of issues based on direct feedback from Xbox One owners.

Among some of the things believed to be in the update are fixes to the party chat system as well as a reorganization of the Xbox One’s social features. While those are two of the things that many Xbox One owners have complained about, it is believed that it will also address some of the other items on the long laundry list of areas that Microsoft could improve upon over the current user interface.

Sources also tell us that a second update that will address more issues and add additional functionality will come later this year. We guess that it will likely arrive in the fall ahead of some of the major holiday titles for the Xbox One.
